Veena Venugopal is the head of aircraft health engineering at Airbus, where she is developing artificial intelligence solutions to predict the future health of autonomous systems and aircraft and reduce maintenance costs. With less than a decade of experience, she has held several leadership positions where she led large teams and grew businesses significantly across research, development, innovation, and in-service businesses. As a product owner previously, she developed virtual simulation platforms for all Airbus commercial aircrafts. Prior to this, she worked as a core engineer developing engineering test solutions for communication systems at Honeywell. Committed to developing others, she has trained over 100 participants and delivered sessions to universities to bridge the industry-academia gap. A gold medalist graduate with a master’s degree in data science from BITS Pilani, she is also certified in domains such as scrum and blockchain. Further, she is an inclusion and diversity champion, having led a women’s network of over 950 members. She is also the winner of the 10% club from the 1000 Women Leaders program at Jombay.
