Dr. Kavita Arora is a Partner, and a highly experienced patent attorney at K&S Partners, one of India’s leading Intellectual Property (IP) law firms. As an IP expert for over 17 years, she has provided patent-related guidance to national and international companies in biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, nanotechnology, genetic engineering, biopharmaceuticals, and microbiology. She is also leading the Plant Variety Protection practice in K&S.
Recipient of a doctorate in Biochemistry from JNU, Dr. Kavita embarked on her journey as an IP expert following the completion of an intensive government specialization course that specifically targeted women scientists.
Dr Kavita is an ardent speaker and a writer, with numerous publications in reputable national and international journals. She featured in ‘100 Success Stories of Women Achievers’ of WOS-C Programme of DST. Recognized for her excellent work, Kavita was honoured by the Indian Business Law Journal in 2021 with the title, ‘Highly commended by clients’.
When not indulging in Science and IP, Kavita can be found reading and creating art.
