K. Ratna Prabha is a distinguished retired IAS officer with over 43 years of public service in IT, commerce, skill development, and women empowerment. As the first female Chief Secretary of Karnataka, she pioneered initiatives for women’s upliftment and economic independence, including the eradication of the Devadasi system and women’s literacy programs.
She played a vital role in shaping IT policies in Andhra Pradesh, attracting global IT giants to Hyderabad and promoting women-centric policies. Her leadership extended to industrial development and women entrepreneurship, establishing the UBUNTU Consortium to support women entrepreneurs worldwide.
Recognized by the Government of India and Karnataka for her contributions, she continues to empower women through training and entrepreneurship initiatives via UBUNTU.
