Dr Cutler worked on Random Forests with the inventor, Leo Breiman (1928 – 2005). She has a PhD from UC Berkeley and has been a faculty member at Utah State University for more than 30 years. She and Breiman released the original code for Random Forests and she created the first interface to R. Other work, also with Breiman, includes Archetypal Analysis (1994).
