Aashti Chopra

Aashti Chopra is the Chief Credit Officer & Vice President for the American Express Bank in India. She has  17 years of experience in fraud and credit risk management across retail and commercial card products. Aashti has extensive international experience and has worked on retail and small business credit risk in UK and Australia.  In her current role, she is responsible for managing Credit risk strategy and provision for the Bank,  ensuring we profitably enable growth while maintaining industry-best credit results. Aashti is also chair of the Bank’s Credit Risk Management committee and is a member of the Board. Aashti is known for driving innovation by leveraging new data and fintech partners to build new first in class credit capabilities. Aashti began her career with American Express as a campus hire from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
