Dr Vedha Sampathkumar heads Strategy & Operations at Providence
India and is responsible for driving Providence India’s growth strategy and
several internal strategic programs. She along with the leadership team,
played a key role in setting up the services business for Providence India
and spearheaded efforts to bring on board a large external health system
as the first customer.
She has over 16 years of experience in healthcare & life sciences startups
as well as global consulting companies. She has been the Chief of Staff at
Sai Lifesciences, a TPG-backed global CRDMO, where she was driving
the strategy and roadmap for digital transformation and led the Operational
Excellence team. She was also VP of Strategy at NephroPlus (Asia’s largest, and world’s 7th largest dialysis network backed by Bessemer, IFC and Investcorp and IIFL) where she led the acquisition of DaVita’s India Dialysis Clinics, Joint Venture set up with one of the largest hospital chains in Southeast
Asia and Series D fundraise efforts. She has spent several years as a Lifesciences and Healthcare strategy consultant at Monitor Deloitte advising clients in the US as well as India.
Dr Vedha trained to be a physician at JIPMER, Pondicherry and holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business. In her free time, Dr. Vedha enjoys bird watching and photography, nature travel and hopes to make it to Antarctica someday.
