Suchitta Misra is a distinguished R&D leader at Stryker Global Technology Center, India, with 21+ years of experience in software development and research. Over the last decade, she has initiated and built R&D groups at the India center for various global product divisions of Stryker, in the area of robotics-assisted surgical solutions, software-enabled deformity correction devices and shoulder arthroplasty. She currently leads the Robotics and Computer Assisted Surgery R&D groups at the India center and her groups work in the area of computer vision, 3D computational geometry, 3D visualization, cloud technologies and application development for the robotic and computer-assisted surgery applications in the area of orthopaedics. She has a passion for blending insights from diverse technical domains to create innovations that span technology boundaries e.g. rethinking deformity correction workflow thru web technology software stacks and leverage advances in computer vision and 3D visualization to make Orthopaedic robots better and intelligent. Her recent work advances the use of analytics and cloud technologies for improved workflow and bringing advancement to the existing robotic technology.
