2021. In her role as the managing principal for New Delhi, the second largest ZS office with 3,500+
members, Apoorva is building the overall strategic direction and fostering an environment of
collaborative growth.
Apoorva is a passionate leader, a natural problem solver and strikes a good balance of heart and
mind while leading. She is a skilled leader of multi-disciplinary teams with a focus on people
development and client-centricity. Apoorva was named a Rising Star by the Healthcare
Businesswomen’s Association in 2019. She brings a programmatic mindset to large operations and

from overseas. At ZS, she is also the India lead for a top pharmaceutical client, where she grew the

As a member of ZS’ global Women@ZS Initiative and People and Culture Team (PACT), Apoorva
has played an integral part in scripting ZS’ goal of achieving 50 percent gender representation and the
Hiring, Engagement and Retention (H.E.R) strategies for women ZSers. With the right mix of positivity
and the ability to tap into others’ strengths, Apoorva has created and sustained successful programs
that focus on people and culture, diversity, recognizing talent and building a strong cadre of future
leaders. In her endeavors towards driving the mission of supporting women in building successful
careers at ZS, she launched an equity-based learning and growth program ‘Path 2 Principal’ which is
first-of-its-kind in ZS. Introduced in 2022, the program focuses on enabling women ZSers to build
skills and exercise the mindset to emerge as leaders. Setting the example herself as a ZS leader,
Apoorva’s initiative brings alive the brand’s value proposition – Where passion changes lives!
Apoorva was recently honored with Avtar's Diversity Champion award for her concerted efforts
towards making ZS an even more inclusive and equitable workplace. As a result of some of the
initiatives driven and led by her, The Economic Times also felicitated ZS with the ‘Best Organizations
for Women’ award in 2022.
Her action plan, purposeful to ZS’ India offices, includes encouraging more women to apply via
focusses hackathons, sending more women ZSers to on-campus recruiting events, involving more
women engineering colleges in ZS’ recruiting plan and highlighting the need to position ZS as a
"preferred employer" for women. These concerted efforts have led to ZS featuring among the best
workplaces for women in two prestigious industry rankings — India’s Best Workplaces for Women by
the Great Place to Work® (2019) and Top 10 Best Companies for Women in India (BCWI) by the
Avtar group (2020, 2021 and 2022).
